"The initial idea was that I saw many of our fishermen whose catches were minimal even though the tools were quite complete and it turned out that one of the obstacles was making FADs at very high prices," he was met by VIVA at the I3E at Jogja City Mall, Saturday, October 27 2018.
This portable cluster is no different from usual FADs. However, FADs that usually use coconut leaves are tied with ropes and given weights and buoys, coconut leaves, replaced with raffia ropes and added with sound frequency devices that can summon fish and gather around FADs.
"Rumpon rope is only about seven meters into the sea and it will be effective around 3-4 hours down to the sea because the fish will definitely come," he said.
